The Horse dhoe Tavern - Toronto,ON.

On the bus wreck mobile
On August 22,2007. I received a phone call from a friend who had chartered a Coach bus from 5-0 Taxi for family & friends who wanted to go to Toronto to see their band play @ The Legendary Horse Shoe. After some convincing I told them I would go. He had told that the bus would be leaving the Fairview Mall by 6:30 pm the night of the 23. When I arrived at the Mall that evening and I sat in my car waiting for the coach and staring at this unhealthy looking run down bus, we called the prison bus. I later would come to find this was our so called coach. So we all boarded the bus and about 8:30 or so the bus headed for Toronto. When we arrived in Toronto we went inside for the show.

When the evening was over we all went outside to catch the bus for 1:30am that evening, well by 2:15 when the bus didn't arive my buddy put a call into the bus driver who had shut the bus off and had fallen a sleep. Well as it turns out the bus wouldn't turn on again so the driver had called back to 5-0 and they had sent a tow truck from St. Catharines to Toronto to boost the bus. So we sat outside the Horse Shoe untill about 4am in the morning before the bus showed up to pick us up and bring us home. What a night it was. So I will not be taking 5-0 again for any reason whatsoever.

Another ETA Goe's Home

George Wagner

I was sorry to hear about the loss of another Colleague. ETA George Wagner. Although I never met George, I feel like I lost a brother and a friend through Elvii Radio. I'm sure he would want everyone to keep singing the music that some how connects us all together.
Like Elvis Presley, George will now live on in the hearts of those who new him. To others, through his recordings. At this time on behalf of "Elvis the Final Frontier," Shon Carroll, Selvis and myself would like to send our condolences and all our prayers to all of Georges family and friends far and wide.
May your body rest in peace and your soul worship God as you join his table and sing praises to God in the heavens above.

Jodges and their Knowledge on Elvis

Hi everyone my name is Pat Di Simine (aka) Elvis Little. I've been performing as an ETA for over 35 years now. I'm from Ontario, Canada. I also run my own Competition called "Clash of Champions" and I agree with you about the jodges. That they are not very educated on Elvis.
I would like to know how these jodges really know about Elvis? Let me tell you, nothing. How can a jodge that's never really listened to Elvis jodge an ETA unless they know as much about Elvis as You or I do or even more. How can a jodge say to you or I that we do not sound like Elvis if they've never even heard the song we are performing, knowing how much Elvis' voice changed when he performed different songs.

If a jodge cannot answer a question that you or I may have for them, whether it be about a song or how he acted in a concert during the performance of a song, that would tell me we could be in trouble because of course to them we may not sound like Elvis.

So in my opinion, the jodges should be the musicians who worked with Elvis for the era that each performer is performing. Not only would they know the song your performing but they should know what Elvis sounded like at the time Elvis recorded the song.

The one way to find a jodge is the jodge would need to fill out an Elvis Questionaire and submit it for me and my Festival team to view and make a decision to whether or not they Qualify. I feel the night before the event begins all the eta's should be allowed to put the jodges to a test on their knowlegde of Elvis Presley.
